Kristin Labs: Chair

Kristin currently works as the Field Director, South/Southwest U.S. for the Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University. Previously she has worked at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) from 2011-2016 as Assistant Director in the International Programs Office. She received a BA in International Relations from American University in Washington DC and an MA in International Education from the SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont. Kristin has studied abroad in France as a high school student, in South Africa as a college student, and participated in the Semester at Sea program. She also worked and lived abroad after college, some of which included: working with WWOOF on organic farms in New Zealand, Australia, and Italy; teaching English in Istanbul; and trekking in the Himalayas throughout Nepal. Kristin is passionate about international education, cultural exchange, and working with both American and international students to provide them with opportunities to study abroad and expand their worldview.
